Facebook Insights could be improving

Anyone that is a page administrator for a Fan Page on Facebook will probably tell you that the measurement tools within Facebook aren’t the best. Facebook Insights will give you basic information around the activity of your Fan Page, but has lacked in measuring true engagement. However, it looks as though page admins will be getting some improved statistics. According to some slides used by Mark Cowan of Facebook during a recent presentation in Poland, it looks as though Facebook will be improving their insights to “track impressions and interactions against each post.

If this new feature is indeed true, it will be a huge benefit for anyone that manages a Fan Page. Speaking from personal experience, trying to track impressions and engagement for each wall post has been very much a manual, time-consuming process. From the looks of the Sherlock Holmes screenshot below, page admins will now be able to see the number of impressions and an engagement score for each of their wall postings.
