Last week, I blogged about how Facebook spam was becoming a huge problem, particularly among popular fan pages. It appears that Facebook is aware as they have been running a poll on the homepage to try to measure the severity of the spam problem. The poll question asks users “How often do you see content you believe is spam in your News Feed on Facebook?”
Personally, I would have to say “Often” as I have had to notify several of my friends that their profile is posting/sending out spam links. I guess spam is inevitable when you get 500 million users on one platform. However, when does it start becoming a bigger issue that needs some serious attention?
