Promoting social properties on receipts
In my opinion, one of the biggest opportunities that brands fail to capitalize on is not promoting their social properties on things like packaging and receipts. These are physical touch-points for the consumer and are great opportunities to promote digital properties where consumers can interact with the brand. Kudos to Walmart on the “Find us on Facebook!” printed on their receipts. They also call out their facebook URL too: facebook.com/walmart.
